Our Location

Welcome to the Noosa Region. It is a special place in Australia with a number of natural attractions for everyone to enjoy.

Noosa Region:

Noosa is situated at the northern end of the beautiful stretch of Queensland coastline known as the Sunshine Coast and is only a short 25min drive from the Sunshine Coast Airport or approximately 1 1/2 hours from the Brisbane Airport.  Noosa Heads boasts an expansive National Park right on the headland which provides some of the best surfing point breaks in Australia at either Tea Tree Bay or Granite Bay. Whilst in Noosa you can also explore some of the other attractions on offer including the famous Hastings Street, Noosa River, Gympie Terrace, Sunshine Beach, Noosaville and Noosa Junction.

There are a large number of events also staged throughout the Noosa region at varying times throughout the year which cater to a variety of different interests. A full list of events and happenings in the area can be found on the Tourism Noosa website. Alternatively you can visit the websites of some of our larger events directly at Noosa Food and Wine Festival, Noosa Festival of Surfing, Noosa Jazz Festival and the Noosa Triathalon

Sunshine Coast Beaches:

You will not be disappointed on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast whether you are an avid surfer, diver, fisherman, kite surfer, stand-up paddle-boarder, or just a family looking to take in the warmth and beauty of the beach. The main attraction for may when visiting the region is the calm protected bay of Noosa’s Main Beach which offers a tranquil and relaxing experience for beach goers of all ages looking to take in the sun and sand.

Queensland’s Sunshine Coast is aptly named with relatively warm weather the majority of the year round providing you perfect opportunity to take in the huge number of beaches on offer. From Double Island Point at the far northern end of the coast, Noosa Northshore,  Noosa Main Beach with point breaks and beaches stretching round to Alexandria Bay before you head south stretching south past Sunshine Beach, Coolum Beach, all the way down to Caloundra and the Pumicestone Passage.

The Sunshine Coast and Noosa offer guests to the region the perfect variety of beach options, whether you are looking for an adventure in the ocean or just a quiet time to soak up some sand & sunshine.

Eclectic Eumundi is a small community with a difference. With a laid back country atmosphere this community swells every Wednesday and Saturday morning as it plays host the famous Eumundi Markets. With a mix of local artists, farmers, artisan craftsman, restaurateurs & entrepreneurs this town puts all its local flavour and wears on display for these two days. You will find locally made food from a variety of cultures, experience entertainment from local artists, hand-crafted and locally made products , fresh local produce, and a welcoming smile only found in small communities.

Eumundi is famous for the weekly markets, but for the locals, Eumundi is much more than that. With a number of great schools in the area, access to great public transport, a small community of retailers and producers, you will find that Eumundi is a great “tree change” area, that is only a 15 minute drive to Noosa Heads.

National Parks:

Although the Sunshine Coast is most famous for its beach and ocean lifestyle the area also boasts a huge number of National Parks and conservation areas. With an enviable display of bio-diversity the Noosa Everglades are a must do for any eco-enthusiast visiting the Noosa Region. The Noosa Everglades are accessible by boat up the Noosa River, past Lake Cootharaba and the historical Boreen Point. A variety of canoe tours and guided boat tours is the best way to see the wildlife and picturesque scenery.

Alternatively there is plenty of natural wonders and beauty in the Noosa Hinterland  which is just a short 20 minute drive from the Noosaville area. This area has a large number of walking tracks and mountain bike trails weaving through the semi-tropical rainforests and bush, where you will more than likely see Kangaroos, Wallabies, bird-life and if you are lucky enough, Koalas. The best way to plan your trip is to visit the webpage developed by Tourism Noosa specifically for exploring the hinterland called Country Drive.
